Are you feeling that rath of fall and need a boost? You’re in luck, as October 5th-11th is National in motion week and we have something fun for you to do! On Wednesday October 7th, get in motion with community leaders and hundreds of residents of all ages to take our annual “couch potato pledge” and a short walk in your community! Celebrate our 8th annual event with us for a chance for an in motion t-shirt giveaway or to win New Balance prizes. So get outside and energized by others around as you join our 12 o’clock walk across Windsor-Essex County on Wednesday October 7th at any of our twenty locations in Windsor-Essex County. Visit www.swarginmotion.com to find a time and location that works for your schedule! Last year, we had over 1,000 people take our “couch potato pledge”! This year, we want to get even more in motion, so we need you, your family, friends and coworkers, to come out for a 10 minute walk and some good old fashion fun at our annual 12 O’Clock Walk across Windsor-Essex County event!
This 8th annual event is done through the passion and strong partnership of Windsor-Essex Communities in motion (W-E CIM). This year, we welcome residents of all ages and municipal leaders to join any of our in motion events to celebrate physical activity and healthy community living in Windsor-Essex County!
In motion Awards Ceremony
To kick-off our local in motion celebrations, the Town of Tecumseh will be hosting our annual SWOntario in motion Awards ceremonies on Monday, October 5th at the Tecumseh arena (12021 McNorton St. Tecumseh, ON) from 2-3pm. This year’s celebrity master of ceremonies is Arms Bumanlag from AM800 who will get our in motion week celebrations in motion. So come out to hear who our 2015 in motion Award recipients are, or participate in our “couch potato” pledge or active break, either way, we will lift your spirits and get you in motion!
